About Mercy: Mercy Springfield Communities is comprised of Mercy Hospital Springfield, named in the 100 Top Hospitals; an orthopedic hospital; a rehab hospital; a children's hospital; five regional hospitals in Lebanon, Aurora, Cassville, Mountain View, Missouri and Berryville, Arkansas; and Mercy Clinic, a physician clinic with nearly 700 doctors and locations throughout the region. It is part of Mercy, the seventh largest Catholic health care system in the U.S., which serves millions annually. I started my career as a television newscast producer and enjoyed it until I reached a crossroads. I loved the fast pace of TV news but the constant overnights started to stress my marriage. I love my wife, so I shifted my career into PR and marketing.I’m now a happy, hard-working PR/marketing professional with a diverse background in many facets of the trade including: media relations, print advertising, digital advertising, web content management, social media and internal communications. I’m also re-discovering a passion for metrics and statistics. I still work some strange and long hours, just not every day.Oh, and my wife and I now have three amazing kids, so it all worked out for the best.
