About the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation: The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Foundation is an international organization with a network of more than 75,000 volunteers working through local Affiliates and events like Komen Race for the Cure to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. A global leader in the fight against breast cancer, the Foundation fulfills its mission through support of innovative breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards and educational, scientific and community outreach programs around the world. Through fiscal year 2005, the Komen Foundation, together with its Affiliate Network, corporate partners and generous donors, has invested $630 million in breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

I am a seasoned IT director with 24+ years of team leadership, project management, and IT operations governance experience across multiple sectors. Recognized for demonstrating a natural aptitude for strategic planning and process improvement. Professional focal points include budget control, disaster recovery, systems integration, configuration management, IT technical management, help desk management, policy/procedure development, metrics dashboard, change management, enterprise planning, infrastructure engineering, vendor negotiations, and team building and training. Delivering superior administration on the latter areas of expertise requires exceptional utilization of effective communication and organization skills. Currently, I am the Director of IT Infrastructure with Susan G. Komen Foundation. Under my leadership, I direct IT Infrastructure, Security and Compliance, and Facilities teams in enhancing IT functions across three datacenters. With strict control of a $4M fiscal budget, I strategize and execute short- and long-term plans for a variety of ongoing and ad hoc operations, such as pen/vulnerability testing, gap/risk assessments, and security awareness training. Finally, I liaise with senior management, stakeholders, and external entities to ensure the company’s support structure is driving the organization forward.
