Sara Love began her dance training in Flint, Michigan, at the Flint Insistute of Music where she also studied percussion and piano. Starting as a scholarship student trained in the Vagonova ballet technique, modern dance, and jazz under the direction of Karen Mills-Jennings. As a member of the Flint Youth Ballet, Love attended conferences such as the Regional Midwest performing Marius Petipa's Raymonda and student choreography. Love then became a member of The Company, an inner city company directed by Joanna Paraschos where she worked with Flint School Systems performing lecture demonstrations. Fostering hopes of International study, Love spent two summers touring Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp where she trained and studied with Jefferson Baum, Duncan Noble, Amanda Mckerrow. In 2003, Love received her High School Diploma as a scholarship student from the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Massachusetts. She received her BFA in 2007 at The Boston Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts where she focused on varies styles of dance including African, Ballet and Modern performing work s from Jose Limon's The Winged reconstructed by Jennifer Scanlon, and Martha Graham's Primitive Mysteries, which traveled to Hunter College in 2004, and Night Journey reconstructed by Yuriko.
