As an Assurance Managing Director in EY's Minneapolis office, I have over 17 years of experience providing assurance services to a wide variety of clients ranging from small start-up companies to multinational SEC registrants in several industries, including the manufacturing, life sciences, technology, agriculture, airline, food, and service industries. My experience includes leading and coordinating assurance services across domestic and international client locations and working closely with private companies, including private equity backed entities. I also have experience advising on technical accounting matters and transactions under both US GAAP and IFRS, including complex revenue recognition with specific experience relating to software revenue recognition, software as a service, and multiple element arrangements, business combinations, issuance of convertible securities, asset impairments, discontinued operations, pension accounting, and accounting for stock based compensation. SEC registration statement experience includes initial public offerings as well as debt and equity placements with a strong emphasis on Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls.
