As CEO and a co-founder of Investors Community Bank, I take great pride in having helped build the bank from the ground up. It was 1997 when a group of banking entrepreneurs – Bill Censky, Wayne Mueller, Mark Binversie and myself – realized that the business of banking was changing, and on March 17th Investors Community Bank opened its doors. Technology was taking over and corporate roadblocks were diminishing a banker’s ability to build relationships with customers, but we saw a need to focus on what really mattered – the customer – and took a chance. Our roots were formed in Manitowoc then started to spread across Wisconsin. In the ensuing years we became the largest agriculture bank in the state of Wisconsin, and one of the fastest growing banks in the state providing a range of business financial services.
