The history of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc. (HGA) is a five-decade microcosm of American architectural and social history. For more than 50 years, the architectural and engineering firm has not only responded to emerging trends in the corporate, healthcare, and arts, religious and education sectors of American culture| HGA has often anticipated those trends. The firm has helped shape culture, business and society by consistently creating forward-thinking design solutions for clients and the communities they live in.

A highly accomplished, multifaceted, results-driven executive whose insight, assertiveness, and leadership brings over twenty-three years of experience. The majority of my career was spent with SmithGroupJJR (SGJJR), an international Planning, Architectural, and Engineering firm with over 800+ employees. While at SGJJR, I led many aspects of the business as a Board Member, Office Director, Director of Operations, Project Director, and Project Manager collaborating with national offices and professionals. Shortly after starting in the Phoenix office, I was recruited to replace the Director of Operations due to my MBA degree and business insight. After a few years, I was asked to relocate and take over the leadership of a struggling Chicago office. Before departing, I was able to successfully secure new talent, win and deliver awarding winning projects, grow Chicago into a profitable office, and leave an assembled and mentored team to enjoy continued success. My most recent experience is with Gravity Tank, Inc., an innovation consulting group of 70+ research, strategy, and design professionals who in collaboration with organizations solve problems, develop new experiences, enter new market segments, reinvigorate brands and deliver new products and services. Invited to join Gravity Tank, Inc. by the founding partners to help the original Chief Financial Officer transition into retirement and upgrade the financial systems of the company for business expansion. I lead all aspects of Operations, Finance, Legal, Information Technology and Human Resources and serve as a member of the Operating Committee due to my ability to empathize with a designer’s view of business needs coupled with the day-to-day logistics of running a business.
