Halff TriTex is a professional design firm providing responsive quality engineering services to the petroleum industry. Halff TriTex specializes in natural gas processing, safety and hazard analysis, pipeline services, and oil field production services. We have senior design engineers with in-plant operations experience who can trouble shoot issues and evaluate innovative efficient designs. Our engineers, project managers, and technicians understand the issues and develop sound approaches that consider cost implications, projected workload, schedule, and potential safety concerns. Jerry Tipps, AIA, LEED-AP, is a Registered Architect (Texas, Colorado) with about four decades’ experience in design and construction. He began his career as a landscape installer. Then, wanting to get out of the Texas sun, he applied his woodworking skills in the high-end architectural woodwork business as a fabricator, installer, then project manager for retail, restaurant, legal and financial interiors. After the oil crash in 1986, Jerry went to work with a national restaurant and bar operator as a construction site supervisor. Within three months, he became their Director of Development, self-performing concept development, design, and construction of large hospitality projects nationally in a very hands-on fashion. He has practiced as a partner, owner, and CEO in small firms, as Regional Commercial Program Leader and Director of Architecture for large ENR top 50 and top 500 firms, and in his current role as Principal in a vibrant mid-sized firm.
