George T. Poole, Jr. is a highly-respected financial operations leader, consumer and commercial lending officer, and risk and compliance specialist. With more than 17 years of strategic, tactical, and results-oriented experience in fast-paced, regulation-driven financial institutions, George has been a key contributor, problem solver, and relationship builder dedicated to improving efficiencies and maximizing profits. Successfully leading high-profile teams and efforts focused on researching and remediating mid- to high-risk commercial loans and lines of credit, George has dedicated more than five years of his career to tactfully assisting consumers and commercial clients who were impacted by the subprime mortgage crisis and U.S. recession of 2007 through 2009. Selected by executive management to lead compliance and loan servicing teams through the crisis, George was consistently recognized as a top-performing unit manager. Skilled and knowledgeable in credit card underwriting, mortgage underwriting and processing, short sales, deeds in lieu, as well as the Dodd Frank Act, CRA, risk ratings, financial spreading, approval authority, and portfolio underwriting variances, George is also a hands-on contributor who leads by example. He has held officer-, manager-, and producer-level positions in compliance, mortgage processing and servicing, credit acquisition, credit operations, and customer marketing with Bank of America. George earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Delaware. He enjoys giving back to his community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels, coaching volleyball at Mt. Aviat Academy, and coaching baseball with Elkton Little League.
