I serve as a member of the firm’s Management Committee and prior to that served three years as a Practice Group Lead, and before that five years as Diversity Chair.I work in all areas of patent law, from litigation to strategic client counseling. My practice covers many technology areas (e.g., software, electrical, mechanical, chemical), and whether managing patent litigations or patent portfolios, I develop client-specific strategies and lead teams of Finnegan attorneys to implement them. I have successfully assisted many clients in navigating the nuances of U.S. patent litigation, with favorable results through settlement, summary judgment, trial, appeal, and post-grant proceedings before the patent office. This includes early and favorable settlement results and when necessary, several successful jury and bench verdicts on the merits. Beyond my litigation practice, I counsel Fortune 500 companies on strategic patent planning in areas such as patent procurement, post-grant proceedings, licensing, and pre-enforcement considerations. I am a frequent lecturer on patent-related matters, having lectured at conferences sponsored by various industry and legal associations, including the National Bar Association, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the National Association of Software and Service Companies.
