As manager of Evercore Wealth Management’s Minneapolis office, I help clients find success no matter where they are on their financial journey. I joined Evercore in 2011 as one of the founding members of the Midwest office. I serve on Evercore’s Strategic Planning Committee as well as the Asset Allocation Committee, the firm’s decision-making body. As a Partner and Portfolio Manager, I advise individual clients on their portfolio strategy. My varied role at the firm allows me to personally connect with clients as well as to make the asset allocation decisions that will benefit their investments. My interest in finance was sparked at a young age, when my father—who owned his own money management firm—made discussing stocks part of our dinner conversations. His lessons about developing strong rapport with clients, communicating complicated topics in a way others can understand and developing a framework for making thoughtful investment decisions have guided me my entire professional life. I went back to business school with the sole goal of training to be a securities analyst on Wall Street. My career has had stops in Chicago, New York and finally Minneapolis. Prior to coming to Evercore, I spent sixteen years as an investment principal with a Minneapolis wealth management firm, where I worked directly with clients advising them on portfolio strategy, co-chaired the Investment Committee and authored the firm’s quarterly investment newsletter, The View From Lowry Hill. I have been a regular participant in the Minneapolis Star Tribune Investor Roundtable. In 2006, I received Finance and Commerce magazine’s “Top Women in Finance” award. I serve on the board of trustees for Miss Porter’s School, a girls’ boarding school in Farmington, CT, and am the Vice Chair of the investment committee for the school’s endowment. I am a board member and the Treasurer of the Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable, a small invitation-only forum for women leaders to share insights on broad economic issues. More recently, I have become involved in our Wise Women educational series.
