During his tenure, eBay delivered a 56% total return to shareholders, while adding 26 million new active users for a total of 183 million. eBay was consistently recognized as one of Fortune’s “World’s Most Admired” companies, one of Interbrand’s “Top 50” Global Brands, and one of Silicon Valley’s “Best Places to Work”. Through his tenure, eBay successfully spun-off PayPal in 2015; significantly evolved eBay’s product experience; built a large, profitable and fast-growing advertising business; and expanded for the first time into Payments and Managed Delivery. Devin has focused extensively on empowering entrepreneurs, and building a diverse and equitable workplace. In 2019, eBay achieved 99.8% U.S. gender pay equity and a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index. Before joining eBay as President in 2012, Wenig spent 18 years at global technology and media company Thomson Reuters. There, he served as CEO of Thomson Reuters Markets, the 33,000-employee $9 billion media and technology business created from the merger of Thomson Financial and Reuters in 2008. Wenig serves on the Boards of Directors of General Motors and Cruise Automation, the autonomous vehicle company, and on the Advisory Board of Salesforce Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Union College and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School. He has been a co-chair of the Governors of the Consumer Industries for the World Economic Forum, a member of the Business Council and a trustee of The Paley Center for Media. He lives in Silicon Valley.
