Claire is a Professor of Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management. She received the DCU Presidents award for Excellence in Teaching in 2013 and was a finalist in 2011, 2012 and 2015. She was nominated for the DCU Presidents award for Engagement in 2021. She is published in Human Resource Management (US), Organization Studies, Journal of Management Inquiry, Advances in Developing Human Resources, Human Resource Development Review, Journal of European Industrial Training. Her awards include: a Fulbright scholarship, a Government of Ireland IRCHSS scholarship, the University of Limerick Registrar's scholarship, a US Academy of Human Resource Development finalist award for her dissertation; BEST paper runner-up for the Alan Moon Memorial prize at the International Conference on HRD; and Best paper in track at the Irish Academy of Management. She is an experienced Consultant and Trainer in knowledge management through people and organisational systems, leadership assessment and development centres, leadership development, human resource management skills, auditing training, training design, delivery and evaluation. She is a facilitator on the Enterprise Ireland Management4Growth programme and the Invest NI programme for SME's at DCU. She is on council for the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) and the Irish Academy of Management (IAM)
