Align & Amplify. It would seem that every marketer on the planet would love to market a product that was so unique and powerful that it sold itself. However, if this were the case there would be little need for marketers. Great product marketers dig deep and determine which of their unique solution characteristics best align with customer's most significant problems. It is this intersection that then becomes the amplification point of the marketer's message. I have been fortunate to market and position products in very competitive markets where positioning isn’t obvious. I have had to stretch, think creatively, test, and go back to the drawing board.
