Helpful. That is the word I hear repeated about myself repeatedly, in thank you emails, in Values in Action citations, in performance reviews. I have worked for Coram Specialty Infusion Services, a division of CVS Health, in a variety of roles, including Analytics, IT, Project Management, Electronic Data Interchange, Admissions, and Patient Financial Services for almost 30 years now. My official title is Senior Analyst, but I mostly function as a problem solver. I have extensive knowledge of practice management programs, healthcare claims, payer payments, and the end-to-end processes linking those together. My goal is to get our claims data to bill out in the most accurate and compliant way possible. I review 837P/major medical, 837I/hospital, and NCPDP/PBM claims daily, looking for data errors, drilling down to problem areas, and seeking possibilities for improvement. If an internal user is having issues they are struggling to resolve, they can contact me and I will analyze it, going through our systems one step at a time until I identify the root of the problem. I will then determine steps for resolution, liaise with other departments as necessary, and test those out until I am satisfied that it is fixed. I have always loved numbers and data and analyzing systems to find ways to make processes better. A lot of my data analytics knowledge has been picked up through hands on experience through the years. Last year, I decided to take advantage of the CVS Colleague Education Program and started taking classes towards my Master of Science degree in Data Analytics at Southern New Hampshire University. Recent classwork includes R, SQL, Project Management, and Data Visualization, all of which I have enjoyed immensely.
