Louis Sorrento has over 20 years of experience in IT Management at a global leader in healthcare, specialty materials and crop science. He has broad expertise in the development and implementation of business process controls, IT Security Management, IT governance, design and management of SAP Security and Authorizations, SAP implementation and use, IT Auditing (CISA), Risk and Internal Controls Management, Compliance, Segregation of Duties and Organizational Design, IT Operations and IT Systems and Service Management. He has completed 15 full scope SAP deployments and multiple upgrades and add-ons. Lou’s IT experience includes highly successful SAP implementations requiring process reengineering that were facilitated by his extensive business experience. He is an accomplished business process analyst known for the ability to quickly understand business requirements and translate them to the most effective, compliant and quickly implemented solutions. His SAP experience covers R/3 releases 2.2 through ECC 6.0, BW 3.5 through 7.0, APO, XI and GTS. Lou gained 23 years of business experience in the Chemical Industry with a multi-faceted international company where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Areas of responsibility included Sales and Operations Planning, Plant Management, Management of Technical Services, Customer Services, Supply Chain Management, Quality Systems Management, Product and Process R&D and Laboratory Management. Seventeen (17) of these years were spent as a professional in the activated carbon industry. As a professional in the activated carbon industry, Lou was a member of a plant start-up team and was a major contributor to making the business profitable. He managed 2 significant capital projects increasing the product capability and capacity of the business. He also was an active contributor to the ASTM Committee D-28 on Activated Carbon.
