I am currently serving on the Bellevue School Board. I have worked on bond and levy campaigns as part of Bellevue Quality Schools. As a student, I was a member of a Democratic Youth Caucus on Long Island, worked on local/national campaigns, and served as a Legislative Intern in the NY State Assembly. I have served on the PTSA boards for Bennett Elementary, Stevenson Elementary, the International School, and the Bellevue PTSA Council. I received a Golden Acorn award for volunteerism from Stevenson Elementary, and the Gold Level Leadership Academy award from the Washington State PTA. I volunteered as a tutor for AP World History students. EDUCATION - BA in Anthropology, SUNY Albany, with a Pell Grant, an MBA in Finance from Indiana University, and graduate work in Anthropology at American University in DC, where I focused on the social relations of mortgage debt. EMPLOYMENT - I was a Software Developer for Fannie Mae in DC, taught economics at a small college in Indiana, and was a product manager for a software start-up in Northern Virginia. I joined the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) when I was eligible.
