The Hospitality gene is in my DNA - literally. My parents met at Hotel & Restaurant school while in college and I started working in commercial kitchens when I was 12. I was fascinated with the process of cooking and began honing the professional culinary chops that ultimately led to an Executive Chef role. Looking back, I wouldn’t trade those days for anything. Now, I’m a values and results driven senior sales executive with a successful career in the commercial foodservice equipment industry. I focus on establishing long-term relationships and partnerships that deliver new and recurring business for my firm. I’m a big believer in servant leadership practices and feel that part of my responsibility as a leader is coaching, mentoring, and developing our next generation of leaders. My career has concentrated on serving in a consultative role with clients and helping them solve their business problems. Having a culinary background helps me speak the same language with things like food & labor costs and tenders familiarity with back-of-house operational challenges such as equipment selection, budgets, and workflow. I’ve learned that active listening and observing a situation with multiple lenses before making recommendations or final decisions is essential. Collaborating with my team of industry experts in design, procurement, and project management allows me to deliver tailored solutions for any environment. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some iconic brands, teams, and leadership visionaries that have shaped my industry experiences. I’m at home with QSR Chains and Fast Casual brands and their franchisees, as well as design/build engagements with Architects, Consultants, and General Contractors. I’m adept at communicating an organization’s vision and value proposition from the C-Suite to Field Operations to create value, brand awareness, and need. My colleagues describe me as a top client advocate and as having integrity beyond reproach in my quest to help others and to drive profitable revenue growth. On a personal note, my wife and I have two grown sons. We enjoy spending time outdoors walking our German Shepherd, at the beach, stand up paddling, and cooking and entertaining for friends and family.
