Symantec provides security products and solutions to protect small, medium, and enterprise businesses from advanced threats, malware, and other cyber attacks.

For the last 10 years I have worked in IT Cyber and Systems Security, acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of the technology used to protect against cyber-attack and protect system boundaries. I am currently working for an industry leader in network security, identifying customers’ business requirements and determining the necessary systems for advanced threat protection. I have worked for a number of other companies, identifying and resolving system security vulnerabilities, analysing, detecting and blocking cyber threats to prevent them affecting the client’s business operation. I am expert in the design, development and implementation of security solutions and response to security incidents. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), I also have certification in GREM (GIAC) Reverse Engineering Malware. In addition to these I have undertaken a wide range of training to augment and update my professional development. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and I have a quick grasp of new concepts. A key part of my job is being able to work both independently and as part of a team, leading, encouraging and supporting team members to achieve set goals. I also enjoy training and mentoring others, helping them to realise their potential. I have strong interpersonal and communication skills enabling me to establish and develop good working relationships with managers, customers and colleagues. Adaptable and conscientious, I thrive under pressure to deliver exceptional results within the required timescale. I love my work and the challenges it presents in a demanding and constantly evolving industry.
