After a rewarding 30-year career in Medicinal Chemistry, I’ve recently joined the AMRI Business Development Team as a Director of Sales in the Northeast region of the U.S. In this new role, my ability to recognize and understand customer needs is combined with thorough technical understanding of AMRI services – ranging from early drug discovery through API manufacture. This will enable me to provide customers with cost-effective discovery and development solutions for all AMRI chemistry and biology offerings.-Expertise in small molecule drug discovery with more than 30 years of experience in Medicinal Chemistry-Possesses a unique perspective derived from employment with global Pharmaceutical and CRO companies -Experienced leadership and management roles in hundreds of drug discovery programs, in collaboration with virtual companies, academic groups, non-profit research institutes, government agencies like the NIH, biotech companies and pharmaceutical companies-Advanced knowledge of best practices applied to novel target evaluation, lead generation and lead optimization-Direct responsibility for progressing a half dozen compounds through lead optimization and into clinical development for treatment of congestive heart failure, arterial thrombosis, major depressive disorder, asthma, cystic fibrosis and acute myeloid leukemia.-Authorship on more than 80 publications and patents based upon this experience.
