I have been designing web interfaces for about 15 years, first as a hobby to support personal projects, later as a service to friends and family, and, for the last decade, as a career professional with experience working in-house and, most recently, as a consultant. I am constantly learning and assimilating new skills and tools with the aim of not only staying current in an ever-changing industry, but also to provide the most comprehensive support to my clients and coworkers. My primary passion is information architecture, or the design of intuitive, well-organized navigation systems from clean, well-structured, and consistent data frameworks (nerd alert), but I also love and have deep experience in the practices of interaction design, user research, and usability testing. I have been fortunate enough to work with, learn from, and influence a range of companies big and small, including McMaster-Carr, Bose, GoPro, Serena & Lily, Holly Hunt, PacSun, Bob's Stores, Eastern Mountain Sports, Samsonite, and ModCloth.
