For 17 years you will have known me as the Commercial Director of the University of York. I 'retired' from this role 2 years ago and I have only just found time to let you know what I am now doing! In 2018 I brought in 10,000 reusable cups from China to set the Uni up on a return and reuse scheme to remove single use plastics. In 2020 when I 'retired' I bought the company out and moved production to the UK. We designed a great new cup with no silicon sleeves and made from recyclable PP, food safe, dishwasher proof, microwavable etc. We are in several UK and Irish Universities as well as the whole of the Californian Community College system comprising of 116 colleges across the state. If you want to save a ton of money on your catering budgets by not having to buy paper/plastic cups give me a shout. The University of York are saving £250,000 every year since introducing our scheme and removing 17 tons of single use plastics from landfill.
