Currently focused on ushering in the next chapter of financial services with WisdomTree’s new Digital Assets business unit. This business unit expands well beyond the firm's existing ETF business by leveraging blockchain, crypto, DeFi, and tokenization technology in seeking to deliver transparency, choice, value, and accountability to users around the globe. Previously served as General Counsel leveraging over 20 years of diverse experience and cutting edge ETF knowledge spanning governance, compliance, product development, technology, operations, capital markets, distribution and marketing. Business-minded advisor to advance WisdomTree’s worldwide growth in “first ever” product innovation (including the first ETF with bitcoin futures exposure), index licensing, and strategic third party collaborations/acquisitions. Lead engagement with key stakeholders such as boards, regulators, stock exchanges and service providers, while working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer in seeking to mitigate regulatory risks. Previously, Senior Managing Counsel at State Street serving as the Chief Legal Officer, Secretary and AML Officer for SPDR ETFs, multi-class SSgA-advised mutual funds and other investment vehicles, comprising over $250 billion in assets and over 150 funds. Past speaking engagements for Bitcoin 2021, PLI Fintech 2021, International Bar Association, Investment Company Institute, NICSA, ALI-CLE, Inside ETFs, Global ETF Markets Roundtable and the State Bar of California.
