Matthew is an experienced and inspirational director with an extensive track record in executive roles within both medium and large businesses. He has a passion for the customer and ensuring the customer is at the heart of the entire business ecosystem, from product concepting through to servicing. With a proven history in the insurance industries in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, leading cross-functional teams across multiple locations and continents, Matthew has experience in oversight of a number of key business functions (member, provider and adviser services, clinical case management, commercial underwriting, operational risk, complaints, fund control, outsourcing and planning). His BPharm qualification and experience as a clinical pharmacist has further assisted him in collaboration with underwriting and clinical risk policies and translation of high level concepts into operational strategies. Matthew is stimulated by new challenges and aims to see the possibility in every situation, leading others towards making that vision a reality. He thrives on uncertainty and creating structure and convergent solutions within a fluctuating environment.
