Vintage Wine Estates is a collection of family wineries based out of Santa Rosa, CA. Our wines come from vineyards as far west as the Sonoma Coast and across the Napa Valley. Terry Wheatley, President of Vintage Wine Estates, oversees all commerce channels for Vintage Wine Estates portfolio of wines including domestic and International wholesale, direct-to-consumer, exclusive labels, wine tele-sales, wine clubs and winery tasting rooms. Recognized as one of the wine industry’s “2016 Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink” by Fortune and Food & Wine Magazines, and 2018 Innovator of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Terry is known for her deep respect for wine and the range of capabilities and strategies she employs to create, develop, promote, and sell them. Ms. Wheatley also made the 2022 Forbes list of 50 women challenging age and gender norms within the Lifestyle category. The prestigious Forbes "50 Over 50" list spotlights dynamic female entrepreneurs who have achieved significant success in life, often overcoming formidable odds or barriers. Over her forty-year career working with national wine companies E. & J. Gallo Winery and Trinchero Family Estates before building and selling her own wine company Canopy Management to Vintage Wine Estates, she is known as one of the fearless and tireless females in a challenging and complex industry, Terry’s success goes beyond her skillset directly to her keen sensibility of an understanding what the customer wants and needs. As a successful female she continues to mentor women in the wine industry and all women she reaches.
