Product Operations Manager
Velodyne Acoustics is a diversified technology company known worldwide for its high-performance audio equipment and real-time LiDAR sensors.
Having graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Applied Physics from U.C. Santa Cruz my interdisciplinary knowledge of physical laws, processes, forces, and mathematics is sharp and my analytical skills highly transferable. I excelled in several practical electrical engineering & electromagnetic theory courses and I have begun preliminary studies towards a Master’s in Materials Science. Part of the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) collaboration for experiment T-506, my research group at the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics (SCIPP) characterized semiconductor sensors at various levels of irradiation and annealing in anticipation for their use in next generation particle colliders. I have over two years of hands-on technical lab experience working with: power supplies, function generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, PMT’s, DMM’s, and various other types of experimental equipment. I possess experience in electronics troubleshooting/design (SPICE) and in programming (C++, Python, Matlab, UNIX, Fortran). I strictly follow safety protocols and have been trained in high voltage, chemical, and radiation safety. As an effective multitasker and quick study I excel when working on multiple projects. This was demonstrated by my work at SCIPP where I successfully lead a small data collection programming team (Python) while troubleshooting electronic hardware as part of a larger group. My initiative, attention to detail, and prior research/leadership experience will enable me to work well in a variety of team situations and by myself. My proven ability to work well with a wide variety of people in a fast-paced environment and my flexible “Can do!” attitude have allowed me to succeed in multiple leadership positions. I have a passion for engineering, a motivated & strong work ethic, and enjoy the application of scientific concepts/principles.
