Reuben Southall Jr., MS IT-Leadership, is an accomplished healthcare information technology professional with over 25 years of large academic medical center experience. Of the over 20 years, 18 have been in healthcare information technology leadership roles. Reuben, after being a successful Director of Clinical Applications for 3 years, was promoted to Associate CIO of Operations in 2014. Due to an organizational restructuring in 2017, the Associate CIO of Technology role was eliminated making Reuben the single Associate CIO for IT. Reuben has extensive leadership expertise along with system management, project management and software implementation experience playing highly visible roles in a host of major technology efforts including new hospital construction projects and big bang EHR. His most recent transition, in 2020, due to the start of Epic and Workday initiatives, is to the role of Director, Business Systems. In this role he will be responsible for Epic and Workday Integration, Workday Data Conversion and legacy system archiving. Additionally, in this new role he is responsible for all legacy ERP Systems such as Lawson, Kronos and Ultipro along with Ancillary Business systems like ImageNow / OnBase, Midas, Versus, Docusign and Caraflow. Reuben is also responsible for Enterprise Integration, Application Development and Innovation. He is a master communicator, collaborator and strategist who superbly handles the realities of execution.
