I am passionate about being better today than I was yesterday.Since August 2013, I have served as the Director of Business Development in the Vaco Raleigh Accounting & Finance practice, responsible for building relationships while assessing project and hiring needs. Leveraging my experiences in public accounting, I differentiate myself by understanding clients'​ pain points, assessing the skills and competencies of candidates for consulting and full-time opportunities, being a strong judge of character and ensuring my clients are receiving the most highly qualified individuals to meet the needs of the task at hand.Prior to joining Vaco, I was an Assurance Manager at PwC. In addition, at both KPMG and PwC, I was heavily involved in on-campus recruiting at my Alma mater, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, as well as North Carolina State University. I also chaired the Network Development Committee in PwC's​ Raleigh office.I received my Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Annually, I speak at UNC-W's Business Week about starting one's career in public accounting, as well as career transitions available to business students.I am active in the local business community. I am a member of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. I also frequent start-up events at HQ Raleigh, TechBreakfasts, CED, and NCTA. I volunteer my time with the Millbrook High School basketball team, Junior Achievement, and currently serve as the Treasurer and Vice Chair of Actively Moving Forward, a non-profit organization headquartered in Raleigh.
