The AFSA is a non-profit organization that seeks to represent the interests of students.

My goal is to pursue career in Intellectual Property (trade marks, domain names, copyrights, patents & industrial designs), Technology Law (computers, telecommunications, Internet & multimedia) and Research & Development (R&D). Since 2011, I represent the University of Sherbrooke, its faculties, its two hospitals, its institutes and research centers. I negotiate Research Agreements, Technology Transfers, Confidentiality Agreements and Partnerships with enterprises, laboratories, governments and other universities in Canada and internationally. After 25 years spent in the private sector, I have the chance to discover the other side of the coin and better understanding the point of vue of the public sector. From 2008 to 2011, I was a Lawyer in Intellectual Property & Technologies at the Anglo-Australian mining group Rio Tinto (including Alcan, Pechiney & more than 500 Affiliates Worldwide). I defended, managed and licensed technologies, R&D, innovations, patents, trademarks, domain names & copyrights of the Rio Tinto Group of companies (mining, minerals & metallurgy in many countries). I previously spent 11 years as Intellectual Property Lawyer at Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE Inc.), a Canadian telecommunications holding. I did many due diligences in takeovers and divestments and primed the legal defence and licensing of famous trademarks (e.g. Bell, Sympatico, ExpressVu, Pages Jaunes, Walking Finger logo, BCE, BCI logo of Bell Canada International). I initially came from private practice where I spent 11 years particularly at the major law firm Lavery, de Billy. Now, having both Canadian and European passports, I can easily work anywhere in Canada, United States and Europe.
