I’m a marketing leader who measures myself by my team’s growth and the impact we make in our industry. I dive deep in research, dig up insights, but always with a default towards action. I’m happiest when building something. I’m not a traditional marketer. I cut my teeth in journalism with my first job as a business reporter at the Boston Herald, where I covered marketing, advertising, media, startups, and venture capital. I thrived in hyper-competitive environments and had a knack for uncovering trends. My focus ever since then is to find and tell great stories that position companies to succeed in shifting marketing landscape. I've built teams, programs, and go-to-market strategies that were admired and followed in the industries I worked within – from helping position Eloqua as a modern marketing leader to building an inbound content strategy responsible for generating 85% of sales pipeline at Kapost. I’ve spoken at leading conferences like SXSW, Marketo Marketing Nation and Content Marketing World. My work has been featured in numerous industry publications and the best-selling book Everybody Writes by Ann Handley. But my proudest achievement is how much of that team went onto to huge opportunities, and the mentorship I provided to help get them there. Today, I’m at Upserve, telling the stories of independent restaurateurs, connecting our platform to their needs and desire to deliver remarkable hospitality, developing pricing, packaging, content marketing, digital presence, and whatever else needs doing on a given day.
