Naysan has dedicated a career of results-based leadership to discovering and leveraging the power of communication, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement to influence positive social change in places and domains where it’s most needed. Through advocacy, campaigns, and social and brand communication, he has led teams and organisations addressing some of the world’s greatest social, economic and environmental issues. To make any meaningful impact in these areas requires not only an understanding of the networks, tools, and channels available, but the agency and ability to strategise their application. In the late 90s in Latin America, the most effective medium to engage indigenous communities, with local knowledge and in local languages, was participatory radio. In India, a maximised approach to improving health and social indicators meant harnessing the unparalleled influence of celebrity and TV entertainment to reach underserved populations. And addressing environmental challenges that pose a threat to every person on the planet will depend on catalysing conversations with multiple audiences, delivering effective messaging and indisputable evidence to individuals, governments, and organisations around the world. Naysan has a storied and proven track record at the front lines of these issues, and has demonstrated through his work the unique power of communication and participation to overcome today’s most pressing challenges.
