Clinician, Drug Discovery Scientist, Entrepreneur and Science journalist with over 15 years of research-teaching experience in pharmacology and regenerative medicine. Extensive international experience with over 80 peer-reviewed publications. I have attracted investments from several national and international organisations at various stages of my carrier. I have successfully directed several projects in preclinical / clinical pharmacology, specifically in cardiovascular pathophysiology, diabetic complications, medical devices, arthritis, and regenerative medicine, which has resulted in either patentable products and/or high impact publications. My important scientific contributions (to date): 1. Pioneered novel feed mix strategy to prevent incidence of Ionophore toxicity in broiler farm, which reduced 20% morbidity and 35% production loss in Broiler industry. Recognised by Society of Toxicology with Young Scientist award. 2. Pioneered the Angiotensin II receptors –calcium channel functional coupling concept in development of diabetes associated vascular disorders. Recognised by Indian Pharmacological Society with Young Scientist award and PP Suriyakumari gold medal. 3. Discovery and development of novel oxidized sGC activators, Isoform specific NADPH oxidase inhibitors and AGE breakers. 4. Pioneered discovery of novel stem cell based small molecules for cardiac regeneration therapeutics. (A market projected at Euro 5 billion/year). 5. Pioneering discovery of novel biopolymers for developing next generation of peptide eluting stents. 6. Pioneering discovery of novel biomarkers & therapeutics for identifying and treating unstable plaques (First in class therapeutics). 7. Pioneering development of cardiobiotics (First in class therapeutics / nutraceuticals). 8. Changing the phase of scientific journalism to enhance transparency and reliability.
