My primary research interests lie in machine learning and deep learning for natural language processing. I am interested in entity-centric natural language processing such as: - Factoid Question Answering - Tracing the evolution of entities in text (trivia questions, conversation, Wikipedia) - Dialogue centered on discussion of entities I led the development of an AI that recently defeated a team of 4 top trivia game players https://youtu.be/bYFqMINXayc My experience includes: - PhD Candidate in Computer Science at University of Maryland - My primary research interests are Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning - Research Intern at Facebook AI (2019) and Microsoft Research (2018) - Researcher in the UC Berkeley AMPLab, UC Berkeley Astronomy, and Boise State University Cryosphere Science Group - Data scientist at Trulia/Zillow Group, Oracle Data Cloud, and Riot Games. In my free time I love to ski, rock climb, and write open source software.
