My story started with a young college student supervising evening shifts for a small valet parking company. I enjoyed the camaraderie and delight of meeting new people while driving some cool cars. The owners recognized my potential and allowed me to expand my skills and knowledge in different company areas. Over the next 26 years, I discovered that a growing company could be very stimulating, but untethered growth can lead to cultural decay and sometimes failure. As a corporate leader, I focused on developing a flexible and focused culture and concentrate on sustaining rapid growth and managing the chaos that sometimes comes with it. The lifecycle of a company demands evolving systems; it is our ability to adjustments that determines its’ ability to survive. Being there at the start of a company, leaders wear many hats; it’s not shocking that I was involved in the core development of our Operations, HR, Accounting, Sales, and Training programs. As I move into a different stage of my career and life, the past, present, and future “Me” is still chasing the excitement generated by healthy challenges and the growth that come from them.
