A small boutique focused on hotel and resturant development

I am a Human Resources professional with 14 years of experience in the hotel industry, specializing in luxury Five Star and Five Diamond properties. I have a strong training background in facilitating management and non-management training programs and pride myself on the relationships I have cultivated through developing others. As the Director of Human Resources for The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington D.C. and the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Four Seasons Hotel New York and The New York Place Hotel, I led employee relations in union and non-union properties ranging from an 86 room boutique hotel to a 1000 room property. My primary roles included resolving labor relations issues, overseeing performance management, facilitating talent acquisition and ensuring effective succession planning. One of my most gratifying responsibilities was mentoring the Human Resources Managers, Training Managers and Administrative Assistants for success in their respective roles. Prior to these positions, I was the Training Manager for Four Seasons Hotels in Boston and New York, where I directly facilitated all classes and oversaw training and development for over 700 employees. Topics ranged from Conflict Resolution, Conducting Performance Reviews, Behavioral Based Interviewing, a 12-week Supervisory Development program and a 4 day New Hire Orientation program. In addition, I created annual training needs assessments and developed action plans; working closely with the Executive Committees to ensure all performance gaps were addressed. I find it extremely rewarding to work with diverse individuals and play a role in employees’ career successes through coaching and mentoring. I would like to bring my knowledge, skills and abilities to a company that values learning and development, while also creating a well-rounded and respected Human Resources culture to support a hotel in exceeding guest expectations and inspiring staff members.
