Sweetgreen is re-defining the concept of fresh-casual cuisine. With a menu of clean, sustainable food including creative salads and tart frozen yogurt with unique and seasonal toppings, Sweetgreen makes choosing to eat healthy and delicious food, simple. Founded in 2007 by Georgetown University seniors Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, Sweetgreen has grown from a single location to 12 locations in the Washington, DC-metro and Philadelphia areas.

At age 23, I set off to travel the world alone for the first time. Backpacking through France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy was the beginning of a lifelong passion. I have since explored many more countries all over the world. Now 28, I have sun baked on beaches, danced with drag queens, climbed snow capped mountains and marched in protests. The list of adventures is endless. Some beautiful and others a little scary. But I am here to tell the tale, and it is my wish for you to begin your adventures also. Because I believe any woman can travel the world alone. No matter how scared or nervous, we all have the power to be and go wherever we choose in the world.
