I've interned and worked in various fields including journalism, health policy and scientific research. My reporting has appeared on the front pages of major Texas newspapers including the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Austin American-Statesman and the Beaumont Enterprise. While at the Enterprise, I won three Texas Associated Press Managing Editor awards including first place for a short feature story. I graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin where I majored in journalism and Plan II Honors with a pre-medicine concentration.
