Senior IT Manager in business-facing applications development role for State Street Global Advisors. Responsible for setting direction and overseeing delivery of applications supporting Investment Operations and Customer Relationship Management. Heavily involved in managing "IT as a business", and transforming app development and support practices into a truly globalized, cost-optimized model using an eclectic mix of in-house and external talent, both on-site and at a distance (including India and China). Together with IT management team, responsible for aligning technology strategy with SSgA business objectives and creating a technology project portfolio with short, medium, and long-term durations and paybacks. Also responsible for growing several strategic vendor partnerships. Prior management experience at SSgA (and prior organizations) includes planning and delivery of trading, order management, and compliance systems, and overseeing investment management applications supporting PMs in fixed income and money markets.
