With over 30 years investment experience, Ralph is Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer Emeritus at GE Asset Management & serves as portfolio mgr. for GEAM’s International Equity (EAFE) strategy. He is a Trustee for the GE Pension Trust & member of GEAM’s Asset Allocation Committee, which he chaired in 2003 & 2004. Ralph also serves on the boards of the Elfun Funds, GE’s Savings & Securities Trusts & GEAM London office. He joined GE in 1991 to lead GEAM’s int'l equity investment efforts & to develop the philosophy & approach for this asset class. Prior to his current role he served as GEAM’s President & Chief Investment Officer - Public Equities. Before joining GE, Ralph was the portfolio mgr. for Wausau Insurance Company’s Retirement Trust, and a global portfolio mgr. for Templeton Int'l. While there, he led the firm’s efforts in forming Templeton’s Emerging Markets Fund in 1987, the first listed emerging equity fund in the U.S. Ralph also represented Templeton on the advisory boards on two Unit Trusts—The India Fund & The Bangkok Fund—from 1985-1989. Ralph is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, a founding member of the International Society of Security Analysts, & a member of the NYSSA. He has served as a member of the New York Stock Exchange Int'l Capital Markets Advisory Committee; has been a member of Russell 20/20 (Emerging Markets Investor Group) Executive Committee (since 1997); & from 2003-2008 has represented GE as a delegate, including serving as Chairman in 2007, to the Int'l Pensions Conference, an annual CIO meeting of over 50 large pension & sovereign wealth funds. He also serves on the Connecticut Advisory Board to BuildOn, a non-profit group that partners afterschool service programs in the U.S. with communities in developing countries to build schools. Ralph holds a BS in Economics & an MS in Finance, & is a member of the class of 1979 Applied Security Analysis & Portfolio Mgt. Program of the Univ. of Wisconsin.
