SpotHero is an on-demand parking service that enables drivers to reserve parking spots with convenient garages, lots and valets. The company makes life easier for drivers across the country, including in cities like Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., and Boston. Founded in 2011 by Mark Lawrence, Jeremy Smith and Larry Kiss, SpotHero has raised $27 million in VC funding. It most recently received $20 million in Series B from Insight Venture Partners and Monkfish Equity, with current investors- Battery Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Chicago Ventures, Draper Associates, OCA Ventures, Pritzker Group VC and 500 Startups- also participating the round. SpotHero previously raised $4.5 million in Series A in June 2014 and $2.5 million in seed capital in December 2012.

Kate Owens is a startup marketing strategist with 7+ years of management experience. She specializes in BI tool implementation, startup fundraising and data analysis. Kate currently leads the Business Intelligence team at SpotHero, an on-demand parking app. While at SpotHero, she created the pitch deck and analyses that helped cement the company's $20M series B funding. While leading the implementation of two business intelligence tools, RJMetrics and Looker - she also pioneered the way the company manages and tracks daily performance, marketing budget, and attribution. Prior to leading the Strategic Operations team, Kate managed the SpotHero Customer Service department. While growing the department from 2 to 11 employees in less than 18 months, she fully customized the SpotHero crm platform (Zendesk) and built performance dashboards to report on key call center metrics and optimize hiring/scheduling. Prior to joining SpotHero, Kate worked at Anthropologie where she managed in all three store level departments - Home, Apparel, and Visual Merchandising. Kate earned a BFA in Sculpture with a minor in Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis.
