Sound Transit is transforming how the Central Puget Sound region moves by planning, building and operating regional transit systems that give millions of riders an alternative to sitting in traffic. As the agency prepares for nearly a million new Central Puget Sound residents by 2040, transit services are expanding to meet today s growing needs. Overall ridership increased more than 33 percent in 2016, thanks in large part to the opening of stations at the University of Washington, Capitol Hill and Angle Lake with corresponding 95 percent growth in weekday light rail ridership. In 2017, we expect record ridership with more than 47 million boardings on Sound Transit trains and buses.

Previously, he served with the Fortune 500 company, CBRE Inc. as a proven leader of a 20 member team of construction project management professionals across three business lines for corporate campus locations across the U.S. and Canada. His team delivers world class service providing commercial building tenant improvements for one of the world's largest corporate portfolios. Over 19 years combined commercial and rail construction, account and program management, contracting, engineering, and strategic asset planning experience. Managed five state territory for BNSF Railway in construction, maintenance, infrastructure reliability and leadership of more than 140 employees. Class 1 rail industry experience includes capital and maintenance planning, staffing, construction, engineering, permitting, and third party negotiations. Personally accountable for all bridges, buildings, fueling and tunnel ventilation facilities for 15% of railway company network. Managed over $24M budget annually on high tonnage lines. Developed and implemented strategy for multi-year slope stabilization, roadbed, drainage and risk mitigation programs. Directed consultants, internal staff and contractors. Served as liaison between field personnel and executive leaders on critical infrastructure projects to align priorities.
