Although my role as a product manager started in 2014, my digital experience dates back to 1997, when I moved from a newspaper copy desk to an online producer position for its website and AOL presence. Since then, I've worked for national content providers, at nonprofits, and interactive agencies. I’ve created the end-to-end digital strategy for the leading national women’s social justice organization and helped bring a multinational corporation back from a 10-page SEO drop. I’ve designed user conversion workflows and wireframes, defined the IA for 1,000-page websites and written email campaign content for a high end retail fashion brand. My unique combination of experience in online marketing, content, user experience and digital strategy makes me a skilled and perceptive communicator who can follow a story through from inception (strategy) to storyline (execution) to conclusion (tracking, optimization). Now I bring all of that experience to bear on the product team at Slate.com. I’m smart: I unlock secrets from website analytics data, use A/B and user testing to discover what audiences need, and translate internal client requests into product requirements. I’m passionate: I love what I do, helping a groundbreaking digital-only publication continue to grow by understanding and increasing the support of our most loyal readers. I’m successful: I work with internal stakeholders across editorial, AdOps, art, podcasts and social to create and promote products that generate reader revenue and increase engagement by loyal visitor segments.
