I joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2011 after completing residency/fellowship training at Brown University Alpert Medical School. In 2013, I was named Assistant Chief of Staff for psychiatric services for the Vanderbilt Behavioral Health system. I transitioned out of this role in 2014 after becoming an Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer for Vanderbilt University Medical Center in April 2014. In April 2016, I was named the Associate Chief of Staff for Vanderbilt Behavioral Health and the Inpatient Medical Director for Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. In February 2017, I was named Consulting Editor for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America. Clinically, I work as a hospitalist on the Adult and Child and Adolescent Inpatient Units at the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. I also am an electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) provider with our Neuromodulation Program. As an educator, I have been actively involved in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students since my arrival at Vanderbilt. I received the Dozier Award for Excellence in Teaching for the Department of Psychiatry in 2012. I served as a Master Clinical Teacher for Vanderbilt School of Medicine in 2012-2013, where I led the Psychiatric Physical Diagnosis course, focused on leading small group discussions on the application of psychotherapy/CBT, and provided formal didactics on anxiety disorders for medical students. I have been a Portfolio Coach for the Vanderbilt School of Medicine since 2013.
