I graduated from business school and made a life-changing decision to pursue a career in public relations, something completely unrelated to what I studied in school. I now know that it was hardly an irrational decision, but rather there was something about the challenge of working in a fast moving environment that attracted me to walk down this path. It is not so much the specific skill, but a positive attitude and strong adaptation in recalibrating what I know to suit the needs of the industry that defines me. My knowledge and background in the financial industry has allowed me an added perspective and insight in understanding key market movements and industry trends, a distinction that provides me with a competitive edge. There is still much to learn from the things I do and the people I work with, but my career growth in this industry gives me the confidence to constantly strive to take my skills to the next level. From both regional and international press activities to partnering with my counterparts in both developed and emerging markets, the results of my expertise in managing media relations and amplifying key corporate messages are testament through the mind share and thought leadership that my stakeholders have achieved in top-tier print and broadcast media.
