As Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Baird, I am in charge of financial oversight, strategic planning, recruiting top talent, best practices and overall operational efficiency of Baird’s Fixed Income Capital Markets group. I joined Baird in 2003 and spent the first eight years in Corporate Finance. Earning progressive promotions during my almost 20-year tenure, I advanced to the C-Suite. I believe there are no shortcuts on the path to success. I have earned the respect and trust of my colleagues as a key advisor and partner. As a big picture thinker, I work well in high-volume, fast-paced environments and enjoy taking on new challenges. WHAT DO I DO? ➸ Provide financial oversight, ensure operational excellence and manage a multi-million dollar budget. ➸ Partner with Risk Management, Finance, Operations, HR and IT leaders to drive business forward. ➸ Onboard new product lines with seamless integration across legal, compliance and operations departments. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS: ➸ Restructured an unprofitable business line and made it profitable year-over-year. ➸ Created and implemented a Career Path for all associates. ➸ Established business operating metrics now leveraged across the entire company. ➸ Promoted through progressive positions during tenure at Robert W. Baird earning a position as COO.
