Matt is a global marketer with a passion for growing brands and businesses in the Retail & Consumer space. He has 15 years of experience in brand strategy and positioning, marketing intelligence and planning, consumer insights, media planning, advertising, digital customer engagement, and loyalty program design across 20+ countries. As the leader of Burger King's (BK) global digital marketing efforts, Matt and his team develop and implement digital platforms, marcom tools, and campaign best practices that are transforming the brand--migrating customers into BK's digital ecosystem, thus enabling increased ad effectiveness, enhanced customer experience, higher ticket spend, and more frequent visitation. He has led the creation of BK's global SEO strategy and toolkit, the redesign of the brand's mobile app and website, the testing and launch of menu up-selling algorithms, and the international adoption of an optimized CRM architecture. He collaborates with cross-functional and regional teams to align the global digital strategy with local market needs and opportunities. Prior to this role, Matt held various leadership positions within Restaurant Brands Intl across their London, Toronto and Miami offices. Some of his wide-ranging achievements include creating the global brand positioning and visual identity for Burger King and Tim Hortons (TH); leading the global architectural and interior design programs for the brands' restaurants and cafes; designing the initial loyalty programs for BK and TH; spearheading and launching the first-ever Espresso-Based Coffee program for (the Brewed/Drip Coffee-focused) TH; planning and executing the annual marketing calendars for these brands across North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
