Carl Lubawy has been practicing as a licensed architect for over 40 years. Prior to becoming RagingWire’s Director of Design and Development, Carl was a Shareholder with LPAS and served as Principal-In-Charge on industrial, mixed-use commercial / high-density, infill housing projects. Having extensive and diverse experience with public and private projects, Carl is particularly adept with program intensive and technically complex projects. In his current position, Carl develops RagingWire facilities’ architectural programming, Master Planning, and conceptual building design prior to directing the final documentation with outside Consulting firms. While with LPAS, Carl was the PIC for RaginWire’s CA2, CA3, VA1, and VA2, and now in his current position, is directing RagingWire’s new Garland, Texas campus and developing RagingWire’s new 76.5 acre Ashburn, VA campus. Carl’s experience with LPAS included the California Lottery Headquarters and California Highway Patrol Headquarters, both projects being LEED Gold Certified. As a recognized expert and a leader in the architectural field, Carl was personally appointed by Mayor Kevin Johnson to serve as Commissioner on the City of Sacramento Planning and Design Commission (2012-2013) and held office as the 2010 President of the American Institute of Architects Central Valley Chapter (AIACV). Carl was also active in Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) having served over six years on the Members Relations Committee. An early proponent of sustainable design and the LEED rating system, Carl has been engaged with the USGBC and LEED since 2001. He has successfully taken a number of projects through Savings by Design programs administered by SMUD and PG&E public utilities.
