Now retired from the position, I will continue to assist with the RACV heritage collection and maintenance and transportation of their historic vehicle fleet. I will also be found at MG Car Club events and anywhere you find the Victorian Historic Racing Register. Previously, I have worked in the technical side of the automotive industry for over 48 years, starting with a four-year automotive mechanic apprenticeship with Mazda Australia and later completing the A grade certificate in Automotive Engineering. I have broad experience of the automotive repair industry, working for two years at Holden’s racing department, five years with Calder Sports Cars, importing and distributing Morgan and TVR sports cars, three years self-employed in a repair and restoration workshop and 37 years with the RACV. I started with RACV as a vehicle inspector and now head up the road testing and automotive product evaluation area of the Vehicle Engineering Team, positioned within RACV’s Public Policy Department. Along the way I obtained a private pilot's licence and competed in Formula Ford open wheel racing.
