Amy's current role as Project Manager involves overseeing and guiding the work done on ending homelessness as well as employment for homeless Veterans under contracts with the National Center of Homelessness Among Veterans as well as with the Veteran’s Health Administration’s Homeless Program Office. In her former role as Supported Employment Program Consultant for the Michigan Department of Community Health, Amy was responsible for the oversight, implementation and sustainability of the evidence-based supported employment initiative across the state. In addition, Amy was responsible for the assignment and ongoing professional development for the MIFAST-SE team of reviewers. Since 2006, Amy has been a Supported Employment Consultant and Trainer and has provided technical assistance to county and state mental health systems in Michigan (as well as other states and national membership organizations), regarding the implementation and sustaining of evidence-based supported employment services. Amy has worked with the Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center in developing training tools as well as providing training for the Veteran’s Administration. Amy, who is a Certified Global Career Development Facilitator Instructor, has over two decades of experience working on vocational rehabilitation services, including developing and supervising supported employment teams, youth transition services, WIA adult and youth projects as well as Veteran-focused housing programs, all while serving as the Senior Director of Training for Goodwill Industries in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Amy’s experience has been as broad and is as flexible as the field requires—meeting the equitable employment needs for people with disabilities always being the primary focus.
