PPG Industries, Inc. develops and delivers the paints, coatings and specialty materials for the manufacturing, construction, automotive, chemical processing, and other industries.

Working with both R&D and commercial teams to lead development and deployment of new optical technologies including lens materials, coatings, designs and processes as well as update and improve existing materials, coatings, deisgns and processes. I work with customers - including Rx laboratory facilities & lens manufacturing facilities - to be sure they are accurately and efficiently utilizing our products and coatings by applying process improvement techniques, troubleshooting skills and technical analysis. I am able to support troubleshooting and new product & process installation at the Rx lab level for lens materials, lens designs and optical coatings. Customer facility highlights include yield improvement, root cause analysis, process enhancements and equipment analysis, facitity layout & organization. I also specialize in customer training of new products and processes - both to internal and external customers, commercial and technical teams. I have worked extensively with LMS (Laboratory Management Software) Companies, Optical lens Processing Equipment Suppliers (surfacing, finishing and others), LDS (Lens Design Software) Companies, Optical Lens coating suppliers and Coating Process Equipment Providers and Optical Lens manufacturers. My experience includes joint development, product and process development and or enhancement and troubleshooting. I have experience supporting free-form lens design installation, validation and qualification. I am able to support analysis of design for process improvement and root cause analysis of design integrity issues related to Rx laboratory processes.
