Passionate about creating fluid micro-economies, typically in the form of marketplaces, payments, or human value chains. I’ve spent 15 years learning from the ground up in Silicon Valley tech, with a speciality in payments, trust & safety, fraud, payments compliance, general management, business development / partnerships, and a variety of other business or ops functions including privacy (GDPR, CPA), PCI compliance, unclaimed property / eschetement, consumer tax (1099), etc. I currently lead an organization of 40 accountable to leading global fraud, payments, payments compliance and a variety of other functions for Poshmark as part of the executive team. Experience stages from 3 marketplaces: (1) Upwork (then oDesk): Early stage (first 30 employee), left late stage, merger, eventual IPO (2) OpenTable: Joined when public, part of public-public acquisition by Booking, left 2 years post acquisition (3) Poshmark: Joined early-mid stage, went through successful IPO, then acquisition by Naver, just getting started.
